The Modern Sky Festival was first produced in Beijing in 2007. Today, the Modern Sky Festival is one of 20+ large-scale music festivals produced in cities throughout mainland China by Modern Sky Entertainment, China’s leading music entertainment company.

Michael LoJudice, General Manager of Modern Sky Intl, comments “We’re excited to bring the festival to the U.S. When I first started at Modern Sky in 2006 we were a struggling record label working out of a cramped office on the west side of Beijing. Now Modern Sky is a music entertainment powerhouse in China. The 2007 Beijing Festival, our first, was a major turning point for the company – the Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlined and the ascendant independent music scene in Beijing was very supportive. Amazing that a short 8 years later we’re producing the festival in New York’s Central Park.”
