Korean emcee “Jay Moon” releases his new MV, ‘Prelude To The Moon’
Major Drake influence with this one, but far from copy cat status. Jay Moon puts his own, Korean spin on Prelude To The Moon both lyrically and instrumentally, making something inspired by the West but not cloned. This is the first track from his upcoming mixtape Fly Me To The Moon (which drops March, 2), and it makes a statement as to the kind of rapper he is. It’s not a club banger, but instead something that seems to represent him personally. There’s barely a bassline, which forces you to pay attention to the lyrics and their meaning. Really interesting first track; I’m curious and excited to hear how the rest of the EP will sound.
