Korean rock band LEDApple releases their music video for thought provoking track Birthday Killer!
Birthday Killer definitely has one of the most impactful messages I’ve heard within the Korean music industry. It’s a message to all anti-fans and their hate comments, warning them that their horrific words can cause idols to do extreme things out of misery. In this case, suicide.
Birthday Killer is the story of Kwang-Yeon being so torn by the anti-fans’ comments that he decides to flee and commit suicide, leaving the rest of the band to search for where their friend disappeared to.

‘birthday killer’ that was released through LEDApple’s official youtube channel, steroyal, depicts LEDApple’s unique characteristics and with the fast addictive melody and the strong sound. This song was all recorded solely by LEDApple.In the ‘birthday killer’ MV, Kwang-Yeon suffers from the comments from his anti-fans and this leads to him deciding to commit a suicide. While the other members of LEDApple search for him, the music video depicts the idea of ‘lets look for hope and freedom for others around you rather than commiting a suicide’ as well as criticizing the anti-fans who leave heart-breaking comments these days.

Hopefully this music video shows anti-fans the possible consequences behind their actions. I’m curious to see what kind of impact Birthday Killer will have on its listeners.
