Jason Chu’s powerful spoken word on race, politics,?election?and Richard Aoki

Presidential RACE (The Other Color) is a poem on how race effects numerous aspects of life, more specifically politics in the Asian-American community. As a Chinese-American Jason Chu reflects on himself and Asian-Americans as a whole, discussing the lack of representation and opportunity due to skin color. Although focusing on the Asian-American community his words can be attributed to people of all backgrounds, as racial struggle is something everyone can experience. Hope is nothing without action as Jason stated, and the simplest way to help improve race relations is by spreading kindness and positivity. Be the change you want to see.
