To me, at least
To be blunt the script is boring, the story moves hella slow, and everything is so cheesy. I think this is just like… a sample or something for a full length film they’re working on but can we get a little more umph? It’s Wong Fu‘s classic love theme except with sci-fi tied into the story and some effects, which I think are dope as hell but wasted. I don’t need no super fast paced action thriller, but I do need more than this. Just being honest, as I try to always be.
I was hyped for A World Away when I saw and wrote about the teaser too, but in no way does my respect for Wong Fu and what they do make me biased: A World Away just isn’t compelling.
Hopefully, if this is going to become a full length, it’ll have way more depth to keep it exciting and captivating. Love themes are awesome but there needs to be more, even if this is just a sample of what’s to come. I digress.
