Korean girl group “GODDESS” debut with ‘Farewell Party’

I clicked the video and saw it had tons of dislikes. Scrolling down a bit further I see people saying they don’t like the song, and calling the MV dumb and other such things. I was shocked, but then went on to watch it myself.

Farewell Party isn’t as bad as I think everyone is making it out to be, but I do see where they’re coming from. The video has virtually no story. Well there is one, but the way it’s told is very vague and comes off a bit unplanned. There’s also no choreography, which isn’t normally the standard for a rookie group. Not saying all debuts have to have choreography, but if you’re going to not include dancing then the story needs to be something epic like T-ARA‘s past few releases. Their MV concepts were stellar!

I don’t think the song is bad at all. I was nodding to it, and if a song makes me move that means it’s at least halfway decent (for me). I do have to say that the motorcycle sounds were drowning out a good portion of the audio, but besides that I liked it.

I’m still floored by Farewell Party’s viewer response. Hopefully more likes start to come in because I’m sure GODDESS and LOEN were not expecting this. I mean if I honestly thought the song was bad I’d say it, but I really do think it’s a good debut track.
