The new Piggy Dolls release MV to “Ordinary Girl”. It’s a super good song, though!
Remember the original Piggy Dolls that talked about embracing yourself and used their weight to help promote self appreciation? Remember how those girls cameback with a new single and lost ALL the weight and everyone was like “…what”? Well now those Piggy Dolls are gone and replaced with new members. Don’t ask me what happened because I’m just as in the dark as you are. With ALL that being said though, the new Piggy Dolls are good! Their vocals might not be as strong as the original members’ but this song is perfect for what they can do! It’s a Dance/Pop track that talks about embracing your “ordinariness” and being proud of who you are. How you can live just as happily as those who may be considered prettier, and how you don’t have to feel lesser than because of something so subjective as beauty! The instrumental really helps intensify the song’s lyrics with its upbeat, exhilarating synth sounds. It makes me wanna drive with all the windows rolled down to enjoy the fresh air!
I do wonder where the original members are though. It’s kind of upsetting that they’re no longer in the group for a number of reasons. They really were a breath of fresh air in the industry and I was excited to see how they’d change things, or at least attempt to. Sadly they weren’t around long enough to make an impression, especially with the lack of singles/albums they had. It’s really a shame. But whether they’re still around or not their message still stands (even the new Piggy Dolls are continuing to promote it!). Embrace who you are and live happily! There’s only one of you, and when you meet people who accept you FOR you it’s the greatest feeling ever! Keep your head up and stay positive! You have at least one person (me!) who wants you to be uniquely YOU!
