Korean girl group “After School” regroup for their Japanese MV ‘Diva’
The intro to the music video includes Tap Slap, which is similar to how they opened up for their Let’s Step Up/Shampoo MV. I liked Let’s Step Up more than this though, as I’m not a fan of the electronic sounds used to accompany the tap dance in this newer version. On the bright side, I’m happy that their Korean and Japanese music styles are different; it’s nice to see them keep things interesting by switching up their approach.
As for the Diva the sensual choreography works great, but I’m not entirely sure if the song fits the video. I must confess I’m still trying to get used to the girls’ Japanese style, so maybe that has something to do with my feelings towards the song. What do you all think?
