Filipino-American rapper Phlip releases his music video for Scars Are Left!
Phlip‘s MV for Scars Are Left isn’t supposed to be flashy, with a bunch of effects and colors to gain your attention. It’s Phlip’s autobiography, giving us bits and pieces of some of the most impactful moments in his life.
At one point Phlip mentions his attempt at suicide, and it was that line that hit me the hardest. I was happy to hear that Phlip was unsuccessful in his attempt, and that he’s now going strong and pursuing his dreams further. Scars Are Left is lyrically heavy, and definitely gives you a sense of who Phlip is as a person.
