I was sleeping on this new girl group! Not anymore!
When 1PS launched their debut video on the 2nd I admit, I brushed it off. There’s been so many copy cat girl groups as of late and this past year has been so weak for girl groups in general, so I wasn’t really paying them any mind. I was wrong, though! 1PS are a vocal group with every member being able to hold strong and long notes! They’re absolutely beautiful too, but what made them most standout is that their charms are much different than the other girl groups currently out. I’m sure some people will disagree with me, but something about 1PS just shines. Ye Na, the leader, is my current bias. Although personalities may not always be what they seem in Kpop what she’s presenting I’m absolutely in love with, like her maturity. Just by the way she carries herself you can tell she’s the leader of the group and has a bit of wisdom (she’s 27 which is surprising for a new idol, but I think her age is benefiting her and the group).
Also these girls are said to be sticking to a “pure” concept to differentiate themselves from all of the sexy ones that have been popular lately. I think they do the cute/innocent thing wonderfully, but I can’t help but think that part of the reason they’re keeping away from sexy concepts is because of all the heat sexiness has been getting lately. Censored choreography and outfits- it’s not looking too good for any girl group currently promoting a sexy concept.
