SlinkRat gives us the scoop on Beijing band PK14’s upcoming album & tour!

PK14 have a new album coming out and have announced a huge tour to help pimp it to all y’all faces.
The album is called 1984 (pretty sure it is anyway) and was engineered at Electric Audio in Chicago by Steve Albini and their long time recording pal, Henrik Oja. You can read an interview in English over at Time Out or watch an all Mandarin interview with the band over at Mogo to get a bit more info in your chrome dome.
But the thing that impresses me the most is that they have booked this tour themselves, which being a Beijing based band on a record label, I’m pretty sure is a fucking rarity. Once you get signed, you usually hand over booking and PR shit to someone else, so hug props to PK14 for keeping to 2 legit 2 quit.
Here are the dates. Google Translate that shit, but August 31st at Mao Livehouse in Shanghai. They are pretty much going everywhere, including Taipei and Hong Kong.
