EXP EDITION, the White Kpop group that got over 30k on Kickstarter for their formation, has released their debut track Feel Like This. The song’s completely in Korean and besides the obvious concerns of whitewashing and general awkwardness, it’s actually a quality Kpop track. The instrumental sounds comparable to other Pop songs and the vocals are there with every member. Bora Kim, the group’s creator, said she wanted to prove the similarities between Kpop and American Pop music, that being one of the main reasons for creating EXP EDITION.
Most people aren’t happy with the group and I get why… but I feel like a large number of the international Kpop fans that are complaining would do the same thing if given the same opportunity… :/
